logoSince 1986, we have operated a full service Redemption Center which takes all Massachusetts redeemable cans and bottles and provides a refund of 5 cents per redeemable item.  It is important to note that not all bottles, cans and plastics are redeemable.  The Redemption Center processes about 3.2 million bottles/cans per year averaging 266,000 bottles/cans per month.

The Redemption Center will be closed on Wednesday, December 25th in observance of Christmas. We will reopen on Thursday, December 26th. The Redemption Center will also be closed on Wednesday, January 1st, for New Year's Day. We will reopen on Tuesday, January 2nd.

The Redemption Center, located at 1250 West Chestnut Street in Brockton, is open to the public six days a week.

Monday through Friday:
9:00 am to 2:00 pm.

Saturday:
8:30 am to 12:30 pm

The Redemption Center is staffed by individuals with and without intellectual and developmental disabilities, and autism spectrum disorder. The Redemption Center was established to provide an employment opportunity for our participants, and to promote interaction with the community at the same time. Our participants count, sort, and prepare the redeemables for return to larger distributors in the region. The Redemption Center provides our participants paid employment and skill development opportunities to over 50 participants each week.

Establish an account for your own fundraising drives

Youth groups, schools, churches, sports programs, organizations, cub scouts, boy scouts, etc. can establish an account with us in order to raise money. Your supporters can bring their redeemables directly to our Redemption Center instead of your group having to do all the collecting and carting. The established account can be an ongoing fundraiser for your group as well, not just a one day collection.  And you can cash out anytime!

Customers may download this Redemption Account Registration Form, fill it out, and email it back to abelmore@arcofgreaterbrockton.org.

Donate Your Bottles and Cans to The Arc of Greater Brockton

You can simply donate your bottles and cans directly to our organization anytime, which helps to further enhance the programs and services we provide individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, and autism spectrum disorder, and their families.

Bottle and Can Pick-up Service

We can pick up large quantities of redeemable containers if you are unable to bring them to our facility.  Please contact the Redemption Center for additional details as this service is provided on a case-by-case basis.

Important Guidelines when bringing bottles and cans to the Redemption Center

  • Not all bottles, cans and plastic are redeemable.
  • Separate all glass redeemables from your aluminum and plastic to avoid injury from broken glass.
